Titled “VHS to VR: Transforming My Memories,” my primary goal is to convert my old VHS tapes into captivating, creative 3D digital worlds that I can experience in virtual reality (VR). By employing advanced video digitization, enhancement, and 3D reconstruction techniques, I aim to bring my faded memories to life in imaginative ways, creating dreamlike images and visions. I will have the opportunity to step into my own past and explore these surreal, personalized environments through VR headsets, fostering emotional connections to my own history while also enabling effortless sharing and customization. This project ultimately bridges the gap between nostalgia and the cutting-edge world of VR storytelling, preserving my cherished memories in a truly immersive and engaging manner.
